The Ferghana farm “Yashil Vadi paftazori” of the Baghdad district of the Fergana region received a rich harvest of grain and cotton.
Farmers who sowed seeds on 29.4 hectares of land harvested 130 tons of cotton in the first harvest. This is 16 tons more than the planned volume. The weight of the harvest from each hectare of land exceeded 45 centners.
Success has not been achieved on its own. The necessary conditions for the cotton-growing economy were created by the cotton-textile cluster. Seeds, mineral fertilizers, fuels and lubricants were delivered to the fields on time, and the reforms carried out in the field of rational use of water made it possible to harvest a rich harvest on the fields.
“Our fields are rich in crops,” says farmer Arorjon Yunusov. “According to our preliminary calculations, the expected income from growing cotton has exceeded one billion soums. This opens up unique opportunities for our economy. We encourage advanced harvesters, purchase modern equipment and open additional branches.
The number of farms that have fulfilled the annual contract plan for the production of cotton in the region is increasing. The main goal is to harvest the crop without destroying it. More than 9,000 enterprising pickers joined 100 cotton picking teams for this work.
