Therefore, special attention is paid to ensuring stable growth of exports in all directions in our country.
Over the past period, the government has done a lot of work to eliminate the existing problems and shortcomings that impede the increase in exports. In particular, in order to improve the current regulatory legal documents regulating the foreign economic activity of the republic, and to eliminate existing problems, drafts of the relevant regulatory legal documents were developed.
For example, a draft resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the comprehensive systematization of the regulatory framework for managing investments and foreign economic activity” has been developed. The draft document is aimed at systematizing the legal documents regulating the activities of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade.
These issues were discussed at a meeting of the Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments and Tourism, which was organized on the eve of the twenty-eighth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis. While the results of the parliamentary request sent to the Cabinet of Ministers on the measures taken to ensure stable growth in export volumes and diversification of its range are being preliminary considered, efforts in this direction are assessed taking into account
As noted, interruptions in the work of the unified electronic information system of foreign trade operations were avoided as a result of a parliamentary request. The program was transferred from the outdated servers of the State Customs Committee to modern, high-speed servers installed at the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade.
The senators who spoke at the meeting expressed their views and proposals regarding the further acceleration of measures to ensure the stable growth of the country’s exports, the elimination of existing obstacles and shortcomings.
The meeting also discussed in detail the report on the execution of the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021 and the execution in the first quarter of 2022.
